RETAIL MERCHANDISER
Primary Responsibility :
Accomplish goals and objectives established by represented Vendors, the Retail Management Team, Corporate Account Managers, and the Retailer.
Specific Responsibilities :
Fully understand monthly objectives/goals.
Execute specific monthly objectives/goals accurately and timely.
Communicate with Store and District Managers.
Communicate with the Retail Management Team and Corporate Account Managers via the Team Lead.
Identify problems and recommend solutions.
Participate on all team conference calls.
Objectives Workbooks and Timesheet/Expense Reports must be submitted bi-weekly.
Expenses must be submitted for reimbursement within 4 weeks of the date incurred.
Completed Retail Objective Workbook must accompany timesheet/expense reports bi-weekly.
Perform Various administrated duties.

Specific Tasks :
Develop knowledge of the vendors and their products.
Schedule and visit stores in your territory; work with Store management.
Identify damaged, expired, recalled or misfiled items.
Ensure proper placement, labeling, promotion and pricing.
Tag, stock, rotate, relocate, or remove items from shelves, as appropriate.
Verify stores’ records of on-hands, and identify low or out-of-stock items.
Request or make adjustments within stores’ system, as appropriate.
Identify competition and any significant changes in pricing, promotion, volume.
Identify selling opportunities and utilize discretionary space.
Report monthly all results, findings and accomplishments to the Retail Team by established dates.
Include pictures, samples or recaps, as appropriate.
Communicate valuable information with the Retail Team, Corporate Account Managers, and Vendors via the Retail Bulletin and through regular, timely communication with the Team Lead.
Communicate valuable information with the Store Management via the Tracking List.
Qualifications :
Self-starter with strong time management skills.
Effective communicator – written and verbal.
Ability to develop relationships.
Ability to suggestive sell.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Reliable transportation.
Regular, daily access to phone/internet communication.
Ability to respond to requests within 24 hours.
Must have Excel 2000 or later and be proficient with the software.
Any other reasonable request related to the job.
